CDC Virtual Event: Commemorating 70 Years of  CDC Disease Detectives on the Front Lines of Public Health

What:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will hold a virtual celebration marking the 70th anniversary of its Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) program. From the threat of biological warfare in the 1950s to the COVID-19 pandemic of today, CDC’s EIS officers—better known as CDC’s elite “disease detectives”—have served on the front lines of public health investigating threats in the United States and around the world.
