Thousands Displaced as Glass Fire Burns Through California Wine Country

The Glass Fire continued to rage into Wednesday, September 30, displacing thousands of people and burning tens of thousands of acres in northern California.

This footage, posted by the Napa County Sheriff’s Office, shows the scale of the fire overnight on September 29-30.

The Glass Fire reached over 46,000 acres and was 2 percent contained by Tuesday evening, according to Cal Fire. Local reports said at least 80 homes had been destroyed in Napa and Sonoma counties.
