WASHINGTON—Colorado Republicans have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to reverse the surprise decision by the state’s highest court that former President Donald Trump is ineligible for re-election in the state for having incited an insurrection at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
The request, lodged Wednesday night by the Colorado Republican Party, foreshadows arguments Trump is expected to make in his own appeal of the Dec. 19 decision by the Colorado Supreme Court.
