Why Do Both Parties Want to Lose in 2024?

Lance Morrow’s op-ed “Barreling Toward the 2024 Rapids” (June 30) resonates loud and clear with me, an independent voter who was very unhappy with the presidential candidates in the 2016 and 2020 elections. My fear is that, just as the Democrats in 2016 nominated one of the few people who could lose to Donald Trump, so too the Republicans will err in 2024 and nominate one of the few people who could lose to President Biden. We really do deserve better from both parties.
