Eight Trump Electors Granted Immunity in Georgia Investigation
Fulton County prosecutor is investigating former president’s efforts to overturn his 2020 election defeat in the state
The Georgia prosecutor investigating former President Donald Trump has reached immunity deals with at least eight Republican Party activists who helped his unsuccessful effort to falsely be declared the state’s winner in the 2020 presidential election, a lawyer for the so-called fake electors revealed in a Friday court filing.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis extended the immunity offers to eight of the activists last month, and all eight accepted, according to a court filing from defense lawyer Kimberly Bourroughs Debrow.
