Argentina Eases Some Coronavirus Lockdown Measures

Argentina relaxed some of its lockdown restrictions on July 20, as the number of deaths reached a record 113 cases in the past 24 hours.

In Buenos Aires residents took the streets to exercise outdoors at dawn, part of a gradual easing of the lockdown that began on March 20.

This is the second time outdoor sports have been allowed in Buenos Aires, after being banned in the last few weeks due to a drastic increase in the virus spread in the capital’s metropolitan area.

In most of the country’s provinces the lockdown restrictions are more limited.

In Argentina, there have so far been more than 126,000 Covid-19 cases and 2,281 deaths.
