MPs Press Boris Johnson for Evidence to Support Dominic Cummings

U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson apologized for his adviser Dominic Cummings who last week refused calls to step down for breaching the country’s coronavirus lockdown orders.

“I am sorry for the anguish and the heartbreak of so many people in this country,” Johnson said Wednesday, May 27, during a video conference before Parliament’s Liaison Committee to answer questions concerning the government’s response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The body consists of all the House of Commons Select Committee Chairs. Johnson is expected to be questioned on PPE, care homes, the re-opening of schools, how and when to end to the lockdown, and the economic impact on the UK.
