Protests Over the Killing of George Floyd Erupt Across the U.S.

The killing of George Floyd has drawn widespread condemnation after a police officer knelt on his neck and ignored Floyd’s pleas that he could not breathe. Video of his death has fueled protests across the U.S. and calls for prosecution of the officers. Protests continued overnight Thursday and into Friday morning, which included the bringing of the Third Precinct police station in Minneapolis.
