Trump Marks 9/11 Anniversary in Shanksville, Pennsylvania

President Donald Trump marked the 19th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks on Friday in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Trump delivered a sobering speech where Flight 93, hijacked by terrorists, crashed in a field, killing all 40 aboard.

“19 years ago, on this day, at this very hour on this field, 40 brave men and women triumphed over terror and gave their lives in defense of our nation,” said Trummp.

“Their names and their stories are forever inscribed on the eternal roll call of American heroes.”

Trump paid tribute to the nearly 3,000 people who died in Shanksville, New York and at the Pentagon.

“Our sacred task, our righteous duty and our solemn pledge is to carry forward the noble legacy of the brave souls who gave their lives for us 19 years ago,” said Trump.

“In their memory we resolved to stand united as one American nation, to defend our freedoms, to uphold our values, to love our neighbors, to cherish our country, to care for our communities, to honor our heroes and to never, ever forget.”

Former Vice President Joe Biden is to visit Shanksville later Friday after attending the 9/11 Memorial & Museum’s annual commemoration at ground zero in New York.
