Hurricane Paulette brought “torrential” rains to Bermuda as it moved over the island on Monday, September 14, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said.

Hurricane Paulette, a Category 1 storm, was located about 40 miles north of Bermuda as of Monday morning, the NHC said. The storm was packing maximum sustained winds of 95 mph, and was “likely” to strengthen by Monday night or Tuesday.
