Fire at Recycling Plant Sends Large Plume of Smoke Over Oklahoma City






A fire at a recycling plant sent a large plume of smoke over Oklahoma City Tuesday morning.

The fire department says the fire was reported at 4:15 a.m. at the plant near downtown.

According to television station KOCO, a worker showed up and found smoke coming from a large pile of scrap metal from cars.

Authorities don’t know what started the fire. Firefighters spent several hours trying to contain the flames.

No injuries have been reported.
