President Donald Trump said Tuesday 200,000 Americans dead from Covid-19 was the best-case scenario, adding the U.S. would have 2.5 million deaths “if we didn’t do it properly.” He made the remarks while taking questions from reporters on his way to Marine One on the South Lawn of the White House on September 22, 2020, in Washington, D.C, before traveling to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for a campaign event.
