Breonna Taylor Protesters Set Fires Outside Seattle Police Precinct

Demonstrators took to the streets of Seattle again on Thursday, September 24, into early Friday, September 25, following the decision to indict one of three officers involved in the fatal shooting of Breonna Taylor.

Reports said that largely peaceful protests took a turn late Thursday night as fires were set outside the Seattle Police Department’s East Precinct in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.

These scenes recorded by Katie Daviscourt show the standoff between Seattle police and protesters Thursday night and early Friday.

Demonstrations broke out across the nation after the September 23 grand jury decision to charge former Louisville officer Brett Hankison for wanton endangerment. Two other officers who fired their weapons during the botched raid on Taylor’s apartment were not charged.
