Protesters Block Brooklyn Bridge Traffic on Night 3 of Breonna Taylor Demonstrations

Protesters blocked traffic on New York City’s Brooklyn Bridge on September 25 during the third night straight of protests following a grand jury’s decision in the shooting death of Breonna Taylor.

A crowd assembled outside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn before marching towards the Brooklyn Bridge, where some began sitting down to block the road.

In a video taken at the scene a member of the crowd can be heard telling people “we’re going to be here for a while”.

Former Louisville officer Brett Hankison was indicted for wanton endangerment in the shooting death of Taylor in March. Two other officers involved, who both fired weapons, were not charged.
