Glass Fire Destroys Michelin-Starred Restaurant at Napa Valley Resort

Part of the Meadowood Napa Valley resort, including its three-Michelin-starred restaurant, was engulfed in flames as the Glass Fire tore through St Helena, California, on Monday, September 28, local media reported.

A chef with Restaurant at Meadowood said on Instagram that employees were “torn apart” by the loss of the restaurant.

While the restaurant was lost, the San Francisco Chronicle reported that “many” of the resort’s buildings were not destroyed.

Journalist Adam Housley posted this footage on Monday that shows flames consuming a building at the resort.

The Glass Fire had burned 11,000 acres by Monday morning and grew to more than 48,000 acres by Wednesday, fire officials said. The blaze was two percent contained by Wednesday morning.
